The tranny is a Velvet Drive 1:1 model#10-17-004 and the motor is a mercruiser GM 350 EFI. Previous owner says it was changed over the winter. The fluid also looks very clean and there appears to be no sign of water in there. With the engine cold (sat overnight) the fluid level comes right up to the full (cold) mark on the dipstick. My first thought was that the tranny fluid was low, so I got the boat back into my driveway and about as level as I can, then checked the fluid level. Once it grabs it seems to be ok, or at least if its slipping its hard to feel. ![]() ![]() When you apply throttle, like to get a boarder up, it grabs for a second, then the engine revs for about a 1/2 sec and then catches again. Basically here's what it does: It idles fwd and back smooth and clean. Then when we started to wakeboard it was still there and, because we were giving it more power it was much more noticable. At first we thought it was cavitation, so we kind of ignored it. Yesterday, we were out wakesurfing (6 adults and 3 kids in the boat) when the tranny started to slip. Engine has 264 hours, I've put about 6 on it.
